Dioxins which are known as chlorinated organic impurities and which are mostly released by the burning of industrial wastes, have negative effects on soil, feed and food.

What is Dioxin (PCDD)?

Together with the Furan (PCDF), it is the most toxic chemical known and detectable for human and environmental health from past to present!

Dioxins and furans, together with PCBs and certain pesticides such as DDT, are covered by the Stockholm Convention on the disposal of the most dangerous persistent organic pollutants (POPs) as determined by the WHO (World Health Organization).

Dioxins;

 

  • Contains chlorine in different proportions,
  • Polychlorinated compounds including dioxins; especially large fires, waste incineration,
  • Or, where environmental pollution is an important factor, and where industrial zones are concentrated,
  • Polychlorobiphenyls (PCBs), various paints, glues, mineral oils and so on. It is in the structure of chemicals and has become a part of our lives.

Dioxins don't break down! It is known that more than 90% of the total daily human exposure seen outside the accidents is caused by foods such as dairy products, red meat and fish.Fat nutrition, milk and dairy products and fish consumption are the main sources of PCB exposure. As the animals feed these substances directly with their feeds, the feeds have the same importance.

Fat tissue acts as a strainer that holds all polychlorinated compounds in the body and prevents them from being ejected.

It is of utmost importance to make this analysis for animal foods and feed, especially meat, milk, eggs and seafood. The compliance with the legally permitted values ​​set in national and international legislation should be compared. Some recent disasters, fires etc. As a result of the events that negatively affect our environment, the presence of dioxins, furan and polychorlubiphenyls in nature has increased and a serious risk has occurred for both humans and animals.
