Honey Bees, Acute Oral Toxicity Test

Honey bees are invertebrates that are vital for the continuity of ecosystems and agricultural production, especially during pollination. The “Honey Bee Acute Oral Toxicity Test (OECD 213)” is applied to assess the acute toxic reactions of honey bees to chemical substances when exposed orally.

This test determines the toxicity levels of chemicals that honey bees ingest orally. During the test, the acute oral toxic effects of the chemicals are assessed by monitoring the survival rates and behavioral changes of honey bees. This process identifies the potential risks of pesticides and other chemicals on honey bees.

As Sia Analysis Laboratories, we perform the Honey Bee Acute Oral Toxicity Test with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) accreditation. In this way, we provide reliable scientific data to protect the health of honey bees and determine the environmental impact of pesticides.
