Daphnia sp. Acute Immobilisation Test

Freshwater ecosystems are extremely rich in biodiversity and maintaining water quality is of utmost importance. The “Acute Inactivation Test in Water Fleas (OECD 202)” is applied to measure the sensitivity of water fleas, which are commonly found in aquatic ecosystems, to chemical substances.

This test is intended to assess the acute toxic effects of various chemicals and environmental pollutants on water fleas. During the test, the water fleas’ ability to move is monitored and the toxicity levels of the chemicals are determined. This process determines how long and to what extent the tested substances affect the mobility of water fleas.

As Sia Analysis Laboratories, we perform the Acute Immobilization Test in Water Fleas with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) accreditation. In this way, we identify and control the impacts of environmental pollutants, providing scientific and reliable data to protect the health of aquatic ecosystems.

As SIA Analysis Laboratories, we are here for environmentally friendly solutions.
