Filter Diffusion
In the filter diffusion test, cells grown on filters with certain pore diameters are turned upside down and covered on agar. Substances leaking from the medical device directly applied to the filter or from the material into which the extract is impregnated pass through the filter and reach the cells. Semi-quantitative evaluation is made by measuring the zone diameters of the resulting cell-free areas.
