Skin Irritation Test
In order to evaluate the irritating effects of medical devices on the skin surface, polar and non-polar extracts obtained from medical devices are applied to the skin surface of rabbits as a single dose and the reactions are evaluated. Skin Irritation test is generally preferred for medical devices that have superficial contact with the skin.
